Markdale– Cecil Dufty, 48, of Omemee, died Tuesday in Sunnybrook Hospital.
Born in Kinmount, in Haliburton County, he was the son of the late George Dufty and Eliza Dufty, who survives.
Mr. Dufty was a construction Worker at Omemee where he lived most of his life.
He served with the Canadian Armed Services during the Second World War and married Helen Merrifield in 1966.
Besides his mother and wife, a former Markdale resident, Mr. Dufty is survived by sons Myles and Darwen at home, Wayne of Surrey, B.C., and Teresa,
Mrs. Steven Harding of Peterborough.
Mr. Dufty was a member of the United Church and the Royal Canadian Legion in Omemee.
