John DOUGHTY of Bankwood House, Thurgarton in the Co. aforesaid, Yeoman m.1698 (secondly?) Joan SMITH at St Mary’s Nottingham (his brother is styled ‘DUFTY’ in the 1727 will of another brother Bryan) He d.1733 at Bankwood House, she d.1723. Both buried at Epperstone in the Co. aforesaid.

John Dufty’s date of birth is uncertain, but may have been 1673.  He was married to Joan Smith at St Mary’s Church, Nottingham in 1698.  They were both of Epperstone, Nottinghamshire.  Joan’s date of birth is not known.  She died in 1723.
